LEGO 72154: Unveiling the Iconic Trainer Moments Poké Ball

The Poké Ball is one of the most recognizable objects in gaming history, and LEGO's Pokémon Sets for Adults line is giving it its own dedicated centerpiece. The Iconic Trainer Moments Poké Ball (72154) recreates the classic red-and-white sphere at display scale, complete with a hidden scene inside. It's built for display rather than play, aimed squarely at adult collectors.

The set totals 2,386 pieces and carries an 18+ age rating, in line with the rest of LEGO's Pokémon adult collector range. It's priced at 259,99 € and is open for pre-order now, with dispatch starting October 1, 2026.

The build's main trick is that it works both closed and open. Closed, it reads as a giant Poké Ball resting on a leafy stand; opened, it reveals a two-level scene — an interior room up top and a grassy platform below — where the included figures can be posed.

Populating that scene are five characters: Red, a Picnicker and Professor Oak as minifigures, plus Eevee and Pikachu as smaller figures — the set's own take on the "Iconic Trainer Moments" it's named for.

Finished, the model measures over 22 cm high, 24 cm wide and 22 cm deep — a genuinely large centerpiece rather than a shelf trinket. Like the rest of LEGO's Pokémon Sets for Adults, it ships with 3D digital instructions in the LEGO Builder app, letting builders zoom, rotate and track their progress as they go.

The set is part of LEGO's ongoing partnership with The Pokémon Company on more ambitious, model-making projects for adult fans rather than kid-focused play sets. At this scale, it's positioned as much as a display piece and gift idea as a build.
